FlowVetted believes in being upfront about how we make money. This page explains where affiliate relationships exist on the Site, and — just as importantly — where they don’t, so you always know whether something you’re reading is influenced by compensation.
This page is a standard template and should be reviewed by a licensed attorney before publication, to confirm it matches FlowVetted’s actual affiliate relationships and current FTC guidance.
The short version
Some links on FlowVetted — mainly in our blog content and, in some cases, on tool or software mentions — are affiliate links. If you click one and make a purchase, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Affiliate relationships never affect a provider’s Provider Satisfaction Index (PSI) or their ranking position on any category page. Rankings are earned through verified client reviews only, as explained on our Vevetting process page.
Where affiliate links appear
Affiliate links may appear in blog articles — for example, when we mention automation platforms, AI tools, or software we discuss in a guide or comparison. Where an affiliate link exists, we disclose it clearly and place that disclosure before the first affiliate link in the content, not buried at the bottom of the page.
Where affiliate links do not appear
Provider listings, category-page rankings, and PSI scores are never affiliate relationships. A provider cannot pay us a commission, referral fee, or any form of compensation in exchange for a better PSI, a higher ranking, or the removal of a genuine negative review. Paid plans (Featured and Premium, described on our Pricing page) are flat monthly listing fees, disclosed as “Sponsored” where relevant, and are entirely separate from affiliate compensation and from ranking.
Sponsored placements vs. affiliate links
These are two different things, and we label them differently. A sponsored placement is a paid, flat-fee feature for a directory listing — always labelled “Sponsored” and shown separately from data-based rankings. An affiliate link is a link to a third-party product or service (typically in blog content) that pays us a commission on a resulting sale. Neither type of compensation ever changes a provider’s PSI or ranking.
Our editorial independence
Our recommendations, comparisons, and rankings are based on the criteria described in our Vetting process page — verified data and client reviews — not on which company pays us. If we would not recommend a product or service without a commission attached, we don’t recommend it with one either.
How this complies with FTC guidance
The Federal Trade Commission requires that affiliate relationships be disclosed clearly and conspicuously, in plain language, before the reader encounters the link. We follow this by placing a disclosure statement at the start of any content containing affiliate links, using straightforward language such as “we may earn a commission if you purchase through links on this page,” rather than legal or vague wording.
